The oldest synth i've tried on this soft is Yammy SY77, it made me beleave that SY77 can be used even for demanding goa trance music, simple and easy user interface gives access to every parameter of of my SY, thus saves me a lot of time with the music production. Within just 45 minutes i've created awesome lushy pad, TB300 like bass and screamy lead sounds. No matter what others will say, but i love this soft, it's seriously awesome. The newest synths in my setup used with it are CS2X and Korg MS2000R

I haven't tried sound diver with older synths but with the ones that i have used it with it has been excellent (kawai k5000s, yamaha fs1r) and it's never given me a bit of trouble. Also one of the developers of it is on the mailing list for the k5000 since it came bundled with a limited version of sound diver and answers questions to the list about SD faster than i can get answers back from tech support for most companies when I'm directly emailing them. ymmv but my experience with sound diver has been great. I use the limited versions that were bundled with my synths and it's made programming them much easier. check to see the level of support provided by it for the synth you want to use with it before buying it (they have some info on their website about how much support it provides particular synths) but for the ones i've used it with, it's been great.
