SoundDiver started as a great idea, but their (Emagic's) total lack of interest in keeping up with the synth industry for new adaptations and modules has rendered it less than what it could be. When I bought it almost all of my studio had editors. With my current studio, now, only about 1/2 of my gear is supported. Some adaptations are still full of bugs and some they admit writing 'without a test unit' - how the heck can you release software with actually testing it? Now, I've waited for 3.05 for quite some time, particularly for the Korg Karma module. It finally is in Beta and what do I find? The Karma module only supports Karma OS1, not OS2 which was released OVER HALF A YEAR AGO - which makes it totally useless to 90% of the karma users out there, especially since Karma MW software was also released six months ago and needs OS2 to work - so one has to decide; choose to edit/library or choose to work with MW and make new GEs? Its a shame, though, with the proper effort, SoundDiver could be the ultimate edlib.

Take the time to learn how to use this piece of software... This is the most integral component in our studio - we use it to edit racks full of samplers, synths, effects units, etc. and all from the comfort of a chair. We have 2 Wavestation A/D's with burnt out displays - but who cares, everything we need to do can be done from this one piece of software. GET IT - LEARN IT - USE IT
Complaints: It doesn't ship with one of those little usb 'knob and fader boxes'..... HINT HINT EMAGIC.

SoundDiver works for me, I use it for a Six-Trak and a Alpha Juno 1, and it's a lot faster then editing via the front panel.
It has some minor gripes, it overwrites the first patch of my Six-Trak any time I use it, but at least it works, there are no better solutions in my case.

emagic does suck , they don't care about you just your money. That's why they charge you for their updates just after you bought their outdated shit
