I had a similar problem with Fastlane. I recieved the same error message and now the unit is completely dead. Fortunatly, it didn't dammage my Waldorf Micro Q that was connected to it. Avoid the MOTU fastlane completely.

i had one - till it decided to blow - i got a winxp warning that my usb device was sucking too much power and the happy gizmo has now destroyed the midi on my JD800 and OB12 synths - how nice up2 u if u wanna trust it or not
