I've had these for about 1 year now. They are excellent speakers for the cost, but now I wish that I had the chance to get the Behringer Truth's (close to the same price). The Alesis speakers are a little on the bright side and can fatigue on certain types of music. I would say that they do have a flat response and mixes translate to other systems very well. Overall I would say that they are a 8/10

The M1 are excellent monitors. They sound flat and not fatiguing at all. At softer volumes the loose a abit of detail and at high volumes they tend to deform the sound a bit as well. But the pack ecellent punch for such monitors, good back response. Also they seem to pick up some interference from my tv remote...which is funny.
