Through a sound-card with very low latency and high quality D/A converters, this synth sounds great. NI have a good feel for sounds & they alway ship some weird & wonderful patches. It's great that it's output appears at VST mixers and all that but it uses up a fair bit of CPU & memory.

When you try each of these soft synths independantly, they blow you away. But try running a P2 450 with 129MB (a standard setup for most of us) with Reaktor, Gigasampler, LM4, some TC plugins on the same PC with some audio tracks etc. You will grind to a halt and wonder why you didn't spend those £££s on good sampler or whatever.

I think this softsynth is brilliant with my APS ASIO drivers I get 10ms latency which is acceptable. I use a hardware synth for the core of my tracks and spice it up with the pro 5. For that purpose it works perfect couldnt ask for more, and I dont have to spend 2000$ on a virtual analog just to get a few analog sounding blips and chirps.

Guys, Latency is a function of your soundcard, not the software. I've got P5 running just fine, and it have very low latency.

I love it! I mapped my Kenton Control Freak to work the crucial knobs, and I'm sold that this is the way synths will be done in the future! As a former Prophet 5 owner, I also say Kudos to NI for the great emulation.

10 out of 10 on this. And it's only $150us!

Sounds are fine, but delay between pressing a note and hearing sound is more then i can take. I will not buy it.I don't believe in soft-synths at this point.
