I have used Reason from version 1.0 and I have to say the sonic capabilities are much better in latest version 2.5 . I use mostly Scream 4 for Tape Compression and Distortion. You get a warm big bass with Scream 4.

Reason has hit the big time. This software is superb and has the best approach to synth, effects, and sequencing.

Make sure you learn how to use the EQ, Compression, and other effects properly like a real studio, including the master outputs. You're sound will become huge.

This is absolutely the worst flight simulator I have ever had the misfortune to accidently install. The flight deck makes all manner of wierd noises which I can only assume are modern more aesthetic alarms, and the display, well, I've flown from instruments before none of these make any bloody sense, and I've not seen one propeller at all. This flightsim is better suited to being a softsynth, for which in my opinion it would make an excellent addition to the likes of Cubase, Cool Edit Pro and Fruity Loops. The retail sounds are pleasant enough if not a little 'samey' after a while, but third party patches make this a very professional sounding piece of kit at times. The sequencer is a bit lacking and has a bit of a disjointed feel about it, certainly not comfortable in terms of things fitting together nicely and as has been mentioned the only thing you can do about this is use rewire. One final point, the effects supplied vary in quality from average to fairly good imo, although I do find myself sticking to the same settings for the reverb and the delay is a bit hit and miss, a lot is just plain unuseablethough, maybe it's me and my Audigy2 expecting too much, afterall, it hardly compares to the hardware you'd get for the same price does it? With free add-on resources, there's some excellent stuff out there and all in all makes Reason 2.5 worth every penny, even if it is crap at taking photographs.
