I just unpacked my edirol PCR-50 to play, after 6 months unused. And what a nice surprise! 9 keys are not working :( It was nice when I bought it, now it's useless.

It worked for a year but the key are playing up now. What's the use of a controller if it doesn't work?? Don't waste your money on this thing...

The keyboard was good until one day the USB board within the keyboard burnt out. I'm talking the usb cabel started to smoke and everything. 100+ $, ordered a new internal board, everything was ok. About 6 months later the keys started to stop working. I've had the keyboard for about 2 years and problems started to occur after 8 months..

Good price.. but with all the issues I have faced, not worth the buy!

A great piece of kit for the money, until the keys start to play up and you find you cant play it any more. This is a common problem and I would recommend you do some research before buying this - see if there are any similar products with a greater level of reliability. If you do go for this, make sure you use the warranty if your keys become dead after a year.

I have had the pcr-50 for 2 years but after the first 6 months the keys played up very badly from not working at all to varying velocity. The first problem I had was that the rotary controllers stepped up in 3's, got that changed then the kes started to go.Even though trying to clean did not do much at all. I have been searching the netto find similar issues and most people have them(with the keys) and even with the newer PCR-M50 the trouble is still there. A waste of money don't buy it, go Korg or novation much better keys. When everything did work it was a good keyboard but now it sits in the corner don't even want to sell it like it is, maybe the dump will be the next best thing.
