Reaktor 4.0.4 works fine for me in Logic Platinum 6.3.3 as an Audio Unit in Mac OS X 10.3.2 on a dual 2Ghz G5.

I have the same problem as the others Reaktor 4 still doesn't work as an Audio Unit under Logic 6 or Digital Performer 4 althought it works as a VST plug-in for other sequencers in OSX, I think it's really unfair of Native Instruments to advertise their product as OSX compatible when it doesn't even support the two major sequencers of OSX.

I paid $400 for a piece of software I can't even use. I imagine there are others out there that are getting hyped up by this software and buying it only to realize when install it that all they could do with it is stare at it in screen.

I use Motu DP 4.12 on my dual G4 and all I could do with Reaktor is run it as a stand alone doesn't work as plug-in at all, like the previous guy said what good is that.

Reaktor 4 is a very good program but if your planning to run it along with Motu DP 4 or Logic, better just look into other soft synths cause you will be very disappointed.

I just hope they could fix this problem soon with a new update.

What version of OSX are you running? What speed Mac do you have? It is a very processor intensive program(depending on synth complexity). I'm running a dual 500Mhz G4 with 896 MB ram and OSX 10.3.2 and Reaktor works well but I can't use a lot of voices. If I keep it to one to four voice polyphony then I'm good to go. It works great as a plug in for Traktion. If your mac is old and slow like mine you won't get great performance out of Reaktor. If you have a dual 2Ghz G5 i bet it will be amazing on OSX.

I have to agree reaktor 4 is doesn't work at all for osx. I use motu digital performer 4 and it is not showing up as an audio unit. You can only use it as a stand alone program but what good is that.

I just got my copy of Reaktor 4 the other day and my first impressions was my god!! I may have just encountered the most useless piece of software ever made!!

Native Instruments is lying to their costumers by saying it works 100% on OSX it doesn't!! try using it as a VST in Logic in crashes and slows down the entire system!! try using it as a Audio Unit it won't even get recognized same in Digital Performer!! This software will just ruin your computer!! and the people at the NI forums are going nuts that they have been waiting for an update to resolve this problem for 6 months now and NI doesn't even bother to give news about it!! if you want my opinion it looks like a good software with potential but for now it is 100% USELESS GUARAUNTEED by NI themselves!!

KEEP AWAY!!! KEEP AWAY!!! you'll thank me later!!!
