The BX8s are great for the price. I've own a pair for about 6 months now and they give me everything I need and more. I do my mixdown perfectly with them. The highs are a little high but but if you know how to set them for your particular type of music you're on your way. They have great mid range and the lows are are superb. I never thouhgt that the woofers on those monitors could give that kind of bass response. I produce hip-hop & r&b so low bass is very important to me. I do mostly everything in my home studio from tracking to vocals to mixing but I don't master my projects at my studio. I finish a few projects at my studio and took into a large studio to do the mastering and they had a pair genelec monitors and believe me I feel the BX8 monitors are very close if not on the same level with them. Don't forget the cool blue led light.
