I have used Mackies in the past and I have never been floored on the ground, jumping up and down "HOLY CRAP, THAT'S ONE CLEAN MIXER". But after using the new Behringer mixers I am way pleased with the quality, the quitness and cosmetics. Yes the pots are a little stiff for my taste, but it's better than getting some Apple Pie eatin, Detroit Steel Dodge Truck Drivin, red neck AMERICAN- GREG MACKIE even more wealthy. I hate that bastard. Behringer mixers are awesome, thats just my opinion.

I bought this to hand my homestudio, but I am outgrowing it rapidly.. I must say though, that is it is very quiet, intuitive to use.. I have used mackie gear and this is just as good. AND it is much cheaper.

I bought this mixer as low-level studio support, just hooking my sampler synth sequencer and CD player up to it. Greatly pleased - still have plenty of channels to work off of. The construction is a 9/10, just don't like the varying stiffness of the pots - as stated before - but that's not really noticeable until you pay attention. I would have bought a mackie, had I the money, but after using this one - priced $200 less than similar mackie version - i am glad that i didn't waste my money for name - again. It's as good as any 1402VLZ that i've used, so forget it . I'd suggest it, used even, if you can find it.
