I bought one these 2nd hand for £230 and I must say its a bloody good buy! Ive got it rigged up to a Digitech Studio Quad which I paid £100 for. So Ive got a Digital Mixer with 4 Midi'd FX units, 4 band eq, 18 analog inputs for £330. If anyones got the rack ears, email me. If you need a cheap Digital Mixer I would recommend this to anyone.

Still a great mixer. Hook this into your MIDI setup for recall/automation heaven. I've had this mixer for over 5 years, never had a problem, and still love seeing the faders jump into position when I load a new sequence into the PC! If you find one for a good price secondhand, go for it - you'll feel like a pro! For me, the only downsides are the lack of digital inputs (ADAT/SPDIF) and not enough send/returns for outboard gear. The A/Ds, compressors and FX all still sound pretty damn good to me.

When you don't think of it as a digital mixer, rather than a analog mixer with memory, effects and digital output, it's the best mixer there can be (for the price). Zipper noise makes it almost impossible to use as a "traditional" digital mixer. So use it like an analog one. :)

Allthough I'd like to have a dynamics processor on every channel...

Overall it was the best investment I ever made, best of it: you get a a superb MIDI-Faderbox as a goodie.

Major drawback: promise of realtime MIDI-programmability is corrupted by massive zipper-noise :-(
