everytime some new software comes out all these people start trumpeting that you only need software and pc and its just as good a hardware . HELLO!!!!

Why do you think high end gear like lexicon and eventide and tc electronic use the equivilent of 7 P4-2k in parrellel just to do effects ? Do you think that they just sit their to look good ? Do you think that they are just there to crank up the price and make rich talentless musicians feel good ?

They are there because to do things right takes alot of effort , alot of programming and alot of processing power .

Some day pcs will be so amazingly powerfull all you will need is that , everything will be software but for the next 10 years atleast face the reality , stop trying to convince yourself that you situation is better that what it is and buy some quality hardware to go WITH yout pc software .

this toy shit cracks me up. Fl3 is a tool that lets you create awesome music. It's that simple. Is an analogue recorder a toy because it doesn't have the editing features of pro tools? I tried all of the beat machines. Orion and Reason are ok but fl3 has the look, style and functionality that beats both of those programs hands down. It has the easiest interface of any sequencer I have ever encountered. Once the variable pattern length feature is released it will be limitless. Good price, vst support, free upgrades....run to your computer and download immediatley. I used to use logic platinum and an external synth and I could never get the job done. The ease of FL3 and vsti's let me concentrate on creating music instead of sitting infront of a reference manual.

I think it's one of the best scratchpads around, better than any groove box yet to be released, but it in no way compares to protools. That said it's still a mad program. One of my mates got a record deal from a demo he made on fruity.

Here is the real deal on Fruity Loops. I've been using Fruity Loops since version 2.5 and I'm still extremely pleased with this software. There is a huge trend for rich shit artists to use Pro Tools. You dont' fucking need Pro Tools our their damned over priced card and TDM's. Get a SoundBlaster PCI512, Cool Edit Pro, and Fruity Loops and you can make almost anything. Fruity Loops is the best sequencer ever created my humans. The TS-404 is awesome. The wasp is decent. The only problem with the software is that it doesn't allow "stretchable" blocks. Meaning you can't put a 32 note block in the same song as a 16 note block. Well this will be fixed I'm sure, because when Fruity Loops and Fruity Tracks are integrated as one program (version 4?) this will become the next Pro Tools, or at least for the savvy it will. I mean it when I say you can do anything with this software, it's functions run trench deep. Get it, use it, love it. Forget the fact that this program has a horribly stupid name. Didier Dambrin is a genius, period.
