I'm very happy with mine, I have the Adat card connected to my Korg 1212. I find the EQ to pretty good, the dynamics too and the automation really makes a BIG difference to a mix. Though I personally don't find the internal automation that useful. I prefer to record the fader moves etc into the seq. This allows me to edit the arrangement of a tune till the end.

It does have an advantage over the 02R as it outputs fader moves as midi controller info which makes it easier to edit in your sequencer, I have a set of faders on Logic that reflect the status of the faders on the desk.

Not only that but you can slap dynamics processors over the subgroups which are physical rather than buss outs on the 02R. I find this allows me to submix drums and stick a fat hiphop suction type compander over it.

I find the dynamics particularly useful - esp for cleaning up a noisy set of analogs. The compressors/companders can really mess up a sound too.

It does take a little time to get used to the parameter access way of mixing - you can find that you have something set that you forgot about - like an EQ over the stereo out if your not carefull but you do get used to it - I sometimes wonder how I managed before total recall - no, I used to take polaroid photos of my desk...

Good Points
Lots of functionallity for the money, moving faders/total recall
Bad Points
Parameter access can get you in a bit of a fuddle if you don't pay attention. Could do with a bit more routing flexabillity

4 band fully parametric across all in and out channels. Not your classic British eq but pretty darned good. I mostly use it for cutting

There is an editor available for the PC I think. You can also create some pretty good environments within Logic
