A cool looking rack mounted or table top effects processor with separate sections used in parallel for distortion, flanging, tremolo/auto pan and delay. The Mo-Fx is a stereo in/ stereo out unit that is designed just as much for the DJ as for the studio in that it features an integral RIAA preamp so that a record deck can be plugged directly in.

Good Points
The main thing about this is that it is very performance orientated, each of the sections has a large performance button that can be tapped to quickly bring effects in and out of the mix, and all the controls transmit and respond to MIDI messages. The other important thing is that there is a sync function so that all the effects can run in sync with each other and with the track. There is a master tap tempo button for controlling this, or the speed can be synchronised to incoming MIDI clock. Instead of random effects you can quickly and easily set the flanger to sweep a set number of times to each beat or get the tremolo/auto pan exactly in time with the track. The effects themselves sound pretty good and are on a par with good quality guitar effects pedals. The maximum delay time is 2.6 seconds and it has a ping-pong mode, there are seven different tremolo waveforms and the distortion is of the buzzy fuzzbox type. Each of the four sections can be switched in individually, and each has switchable EQ with 7 filter combinations for tone changing which can really thin out the sound for some ethereal effects.
Bad Points
No input and output gain controls.
