Similar to Reason but with a different approach. Easy to learn and use. Low system resources for included instruments and FX. High quality sound and tons of flexibility.

Good Points
many synthesizers; bassline, Wavedream (real wavetable synth with the potential to do microWave and PPG 2x style patches although a bit simpler), Wasp VA synth, looks simple, easy to program, very diverse sounding. VA drum synth, simple and effective, sample based drum machines, sampler with crossfades and layering, even more synths...DXi & VST2 instrument enabled!! Lots of good effects included along with VST, great mixer with 4 FX sends and 2 inserts. 4 band parametric EQ, pan & volume with mute and solo buttons per channel. Channels are added with instances of synths or samplers. Automation is possible, realtime or pattern sequencing, tracker style song part assembly. Here's the most important part; Orion is simple and fun to use. The assembly of parts in the songlist is brilliantly simple and powerful.
Bad Points
Nothing's really bad here, some wishes for new versions; more detailed sequencer, currently great for simple tasks but has potential to do more, a better way of dealing with screen clutter - Reason is good because you have an orderly (and pretty) screen, in OrionPro the instruments and effects can get out of control and fight for screen space, a simple system such as making icons of synths/effects not in immediate use would make for a faster work flow, still you can always find a synth by clicking on it in the mixer.
