Cell Synth is an easy to use, modular synthesizer. Unlike software like Reaktor, cellsynth has a gui that makes complex sound design a snap. It's simplicity is deceiving, and with a touch of creativity, very complex structures can be created. It is very cpu efficient as well. I'm running it on an iBook G3 500 and it just skips along effortlessly.

Good Points
simple interface that lends itself to quick sound design. sample playback cell with start point modulation. step sequencer cell (midi or modulation) automation sequencer for really f#$king up sounds. reverb, delay, phaser, vocoder and plenty of filter types.
Bad Points
each keygroup is monophonic (this doesn't matter to me, it all depends on what you use it for) can't really think of anything else...
