Ive been using Cakewalk for a long time and SONAR is the new evolution for the product.After a some what buggy initial release,most all of the bugs have been worked out and SONAR is extremely stable.The included soft-synths are awesome and Ive even written a bunch of stuff using only the stuff included with the program.It also has ACID style audio manipulation and I would even go as far as saying that it beats acid at it's own game.Taken the same drum loop,SONAR can adjust tempo and pitch to far greater limits than ACID and even sounds better in my opinion.Cubase and Logic now has very fierce competition,because there are some things SONAR does that are far better and easier!

Good Points
Advanced and Deep MIDI editing. ACID style looping and time/pitch editing. Very stable audio interface. Excellent included Plug-ins and effects. Comes with excellent full version soft-synths.
Bad Points
The initial release had some annoying bugs.But most evrything has been fixed at the current release.
