This card is the killer digital audio card. It's cheap, and it really works. If you have an ADAT-ready mixer or work with ADAT recorders, this card is for you. The super-low latency is truly incredible. You can play software synths in real time. You can mix audio and play with audio plug-ins with instant results. The drivers are rock-solid and it works beautifully, with low CPU usage.

When in Cubase, you can easilly get 32+ channels of audio playing at the same time with very low CPU usage -- as many tracks as your hard drive can handle. The audio quaility is clean and glitch-free (its aa digital of course).

After working with many other audio cards for music production, this is the bomb. It works flawlessly. RME updates drivers frequently to stay abreast of standards. You can even link two or more cards. For less than $1000 you could have 96 digital ins/outs. It's insane.

An ideal card to work with an 01v or other digital mixer.

Good Points
A rock-solid digital audio card optimized for ASIO support. Very stable, reliable drivers. Simple installation. Autosync reduces digital connection headaches. Anaysis tools included. Super-low latency with ASIO programs (down to 1.5ms). Super-low CPU usage (~0%). 3 ADAT in/outs. Spdif In/Out. Wordclock and adat sync. Low price. Doesn't conflict with other hardware.
Bad Points
No analog ins/out. Documentation is pretty light.
