The Yamaha REV5 is a pro level effects box with reverb as its primary putpose, but also having good pitch shifting, delays, echos, modulation effects, and gates.

Good Points
After all these years, still a very high quality reverb. Adds uncolored reverb to the original signal, making it one of the best in terms of creating real sounding rooms and halls. Very clear and clean sound. The front panel eq is switchable in/out, and makes it very easy to quickly tailor the eq of a patch. Editing is quite simple and straightforward, and the number keypad is a feature that makes entering data very quick and easy.
Bad Points
Only a coupld of quibbles: I've found that setting the input level can be a bit tricky--it seems overly sensitive. Also, if you turn the unit WAY up you can hear a slight quantization as the end of the reverb tails off. This is a 1988 vintage unit, so that is a bit to be expected. At real levels in a mix I've never found the quantization to be noticable.
