Freefilter is a 1/3rd octave software graphic EQ that allows you to capture the EQ curve of a piece music and apply that curve to a second piece of music so that it matches the first. First linear phase EQ.

Good Points This is a highly useful piece of software. You can use it to make your music sound like a track you think is mixed well. And you can use it on vocalists to make the vocals sound more "professional". I.e: If you have a modest bedroom studio with an ok mic and an ok singer, you can take the EQ of a pro recorded acappella track and make your recording sound like it. *It really does work!* If you have a "whitey" sounding female singer, you can take the harsh edge off her voice by sampling a black gospal singer.. I've tried it and it really works. This (along with Antares Autotune) is the most important plugin you could have for recoding singers and producing music. Even pro studios could use it too. How many clients have come to you and said, I want to sound like: xxxxx Band or singer? A must for any producers tool box. Bad Points Doesn't seem to work well with soundforge.. However, it works fine in Sonic Foundry's Acid. |
