Good Points
Quality preamp with a very pure clean sound, mic and line channels can be used separately with the various processing sections split between them. Nice EQ, with up to 18dB of cut or boost - there are two fully parametric mid bands and the top and bottom bands are switchable between peak and shelving.'Glow'and 'Sheen' switches for the bottom and top bands respectively, change the bandwidth for a mellower effect that is very musical. The compressor is a really versatile performer with a full complement of controls including a switch marked '&MM' which is great for emphasising pumping and breathing effect- style compression. The various EQ bands and filters can also be switched into the sidechain for more control and there is a key switch allowing triggering of the compressor from the line input if the mic input is being compressed. There are rotary faders for both line out and mic out but there are additional 'fader' outputs for each to send the signal to an external fader, damn useful as a parallel monitor output to overcome latency problems when recording to digital.
Bad Points
Cooling fan could be a little quieter. EQ section is pre-compression only.
