Super Snap/Hand Clap Snare

OK, I should not be giving up my best secrets but what the hell. That tweak on a Bombastic Drum sound really works.

The of the best "super cheddar pop rock" snare sounds I have ever made was made by tuning the snare SUPER HIGH AND TIGHT, mic it with a SM57 on the top, run the mic into a REAL TUBE OVERDRIVE PEDAL with the volume at 100%, the drive at about 20-30% or until a slightly overdrive clap is heard, and the mid cranked. Then go straight to digital. If you are going to analog then ride the red.

The snapy sound really cuts through any mix and sounds super-cheesy.
