  • Interesting Promix01 mods?
There's some interesting talk afoot about mods for Yamaha's spiffing little mixer. Though not sanctioned by Yamaha, it is possible to change the clock speed from the cd-unfriendly 48khz to 44.1khz by the changing of a chip. Also, there's rumours that you can 'break out' the mic-amp ribbons to allow insert points. It may infact be possible to bypass the analog stage and have direct digital inputs too! There is a page with info on the creation of digital inputs: http://exodo.upr.clu.edu/~hunt/promod.htm
This is NOT for the 'I wired my own patchbay' school of electronics!!!!
