3) For a neat "halo" effect on vocals during the mix using only a reverb and a delay you don't really need an expensive processor.
Try this: Take the buss or direct out of the vocal track and run a line to your delay unit.
Set the delay to at least 240ms (or longer if you want to). Then patch the delay out to the reverb input and mix to taste.
This will work well with just about anything but really makes the vocals "shine" on a slow song. Analog devices such as the Echoplex work great, or drag that old three-head Reel To Reel deck out and use it to drive your reverb.
