So maybe you ain't got an old tape echo device such as the Roland Space echo currently favoured by top trip-hop producers (don't try saying that quickly). There's an easy way to set up that tinny feedback cycle.
Bring your delay output into a channel and eq it so it's 'tinny' - roll of the bottom end or whatever. Make sure your delay unit has little or no regeneration (repeats or feedback). Feed the out put from that channel back into the delay via an aux send or a sub-group fader (for more control). The more you send the more regeneration you'll have. Each repeat will have been eq'ed 'tinnier' and end up disapearing into nothing.
For best results try delay times of 3/16ths, 5/16ths or triplets.Happy dubbing
