Well, ok maybe that's a little OTT but it got you to read this ...
They've done a boardroom deal with those long time net jammin' dudes - Rocket Network.
Digi have taken a stake in the company and placed a suit on the board.
"Our strategic investment in Rocket ensures that our customers will have access to the world’s best tools and technology for high quality collaboration with other Pro Tools users — anywhere, anytime."
Here's what Rocket do:
"Rocket Network, Inc. is the first and only company to provide Internet Recording Studios where audio professionals can meet online to collaborate and produce original audio from anywhere in the world. The company’s revolutionary technology provides a cost-effective and convenient complement to traditional studios by reducing production expenses and increasing creative alternatives for professional-quality audio in TV, film, radio, music and web sites."
So looks like we'll be seeing Digi moving into the net realm. Perhaps this will also see them moving further into the semi-pro market too?
