Sonic Foundry announces new techno, latino ACID additions

US Trip like I do (when I'm in Brazil)      07/09/00

Sonic Foundry Inc has announced the addition og ACID Latin 2.0 and ACID Techno 2.0 to its ACID family of genre-specific, loop-based music creation tools. ACID Latin gives you the ability to create almost any style of Latin music - from Cumbia to Salsa to Slow Ballad. Karl Perrazzo, percussionist, vocalist and writer on Santana's multi-platinum Supernatural album [so he's the one to blame for exhuming the monster - Ed] produced, wrote, arranged and provided the percussion tracks for the audio content included with the product. ACID Techno contains 600 extremely diverse, royalty-free loops including heavy beats, percussion, vinyl scratching, synths, and pads, to create electronic dance music. Well, what else? 'With the addition of these two titles to our collection of ACID products, it has never been easier to express yourself musically,' says Jeff Conover, VP of marketing for Sonic Foundry. Each ACID product comes with more than 400 professionally recorded loops that can be layered to create original, royalty-free music in minutes. The 'pick, paint, and play' interface means that with just a click and drag users can combine and mix loops, make real-time changes to pitch and tempo, and control the volume, pan, and effects for each track. ...And we'll be reviewing them soon. www.sonicfoundry.com
