Akai revealed a semi-psychedelic version of the much acclaimed MPC2000 at the recent AES Convention in LA. The MPC2000XL-SE1 (long enough for ya?) combines the flexibility and power of the MPC2000XL with a groovy (no pun intended) new look. Such was the unexpected appearance of the orangey-red box, that it doesn't feature on the current Akai price lists. Expect to hear a lot more around the Winter NAMM show in January, we reckon... Unless someone from Akai would care to tell us more?
