NAMM:WAVES go 56K for AW4416

Waves announced preliminary data on this new card to augment the Yamaha AW4416 workstation. The new card will fit into the YGDAI slots on the back of the AW4416 (Wonder if it'll be compatible with the O2R also..) Each card contains 2 powerful 100MGHZ Motorola 56k series DSP chips and comes loaded with 6 Waves proprietary audio processors:
  • L1-Ultramaximizer
  • Renaissance EQ
  • Renaissance Compressor
  • TrueVerb
  • SuperTap 2-tap
  • DeEsser An AW4416 user will have the flexibility of assigning any of these processors for up to 8 chains.There's also an extra ADAT lightpipe i/o on each card. Shipping expected 2nd Quarter 2001. Price not yet set.
