Encore Electronics' have just released the Universal Event Generator. It's an 8 step CV sequencer that by definition can be used as an eight stage envelope generator, an LFO, or a step sequencer. It's 100% compatible with the Synthesis Technology MOTM system - the reasonably priced DIY or pre-built modular synthesis system.
The UEG has 8 time pots and 7 level pots used to shape the envelope. It also sports LEDs which indicate the current stage. The LEDs are pulse width modulated to show the relative output level of each stage. Each stage can last up to 8 seconds and multiple units can be connected.
There are three basic modes of the UEG: LOOP ONLY(functions as an LFO), One-Shot(moves through the 8 stages only once) and Gated mode. Gated mode has several option: Step sequencer, Finish Loop and Release modes. Gated mode will cycle within any stage between 2 and 7 while the gate is on. There is a manual gate button, a gate input, a time control voltage input, a 0 to 5 volt output, and a 5 volt trigger output used to trigger other events when the UEG completes its cycle. It also has a variable slope switch.
So if you like to work in the modular fashion then this could be for you. More info:
