Ensoniq were showing off their new XL-7 and MP-7 Command Stations. These new units take the synth engine of the Proteus 2000, and the XL-1 and Mo'Phatt soundsets, and combine them with a new multi track sequencer, in a powerful performance based package. COMMAND STATIONS – MAIN FEATURE CHECK Apart from some of features that have been very popular on the XL-1 and Mo’Phatt, such as Superbeats and Arpeggiators, these units offer;
  • XL-1 or Mo’ Phatt ROM fitted (XL-7 & MP-7 respectively) with exciting new presets
  • 3 extra expansion ROM slots
  • 128 voices
  • 16 track sequencer, with MIDI file import and classic step input mode
  • 12th order filters
  • 1 octave keypad, velocity sensitive and aftertouch
  • 16 latching triggers,
  • assignable ribbon controller
  • 16 assignable realtime control knobs (with four functions each)
  • Acts a stand-alone remote MIDI controller Available May/June
