Digidesign continue to offer their Pro Tools® FREE packages and are now offering new users a fully functional 8-channel audio and 48 MIDI track capable version of the popular Pro Tools 5.0.1 LE. Pro Tools FREE is a powerful audio recording, editing and mixing software program requiring no additional hardware. Launched late last year as a downloadable product, Pro Tools FREE is now available on CD-ROM from Digidesign’s online store at http://store.digidesign.com. As the name implies, Pro Tools FREE is offered as a free product, with customers charged a nominal shipping and handling fee of $9.95 (USD) regardless of ship-to local. The CD-ROM also includes several RTAS and AudioSuite plug-in demos.
