This NAMM Shure have released a range of keenly priced application specific microphones. This line, named 'Performance Gear', consists of 6 models for vocals, instruments and drums.

Models:-
PG48 - speech and karaoke
PG58 - lead vocals
PG57 - guitar amps, brass
PG81 - condenser - acoustic an overhead
PG52 - drums and bass amps
PG56 - close-miking (snares and toms)
Prices range from $63 through to $245 MSRP.

We also got to see the KSM27 studio microphone for the first time. It has an extended frequency range (20Hz - 20kHz) provided by a 1 inch ultra thin Mylar diaphragm. It certainly looks the part, although it's not cheap (MSRP of $575).
