You can't have been surprised, Reason V2.0 was launched at the Messe with a suite of new modules including:

Maelstrom an all new polyphonic 'Graintable' synthesizer -it's a cross between Wavetable and Granular synthesis.

NN-XT - an Advanced sampler with "Deep sampling without the confusing sub menus" with nifty features such as auto-pitch detection.

Extra sample libraries

Fully 32-bit internal structure

Beat syncable LFOs all round

Detachable sequencer window avoiding those multi-screen setups

Mac OSX support.

Windows mouse scroll wheel compatability

Expected to ship at the end of April 2002. Reason 1.0 users will be able to upgrade for $89/99euros- stay tuned for more info.
