SNAMM02: microKorg Demo Just In

You heard it here first - I hope!      30/07/02

You may have read with interest, the recent articles about the forthcoming microKorg spotted at Nashville. If not, just to recap, it's a mini keyed four voice analog modeling synth with the engine of the MS-2000 crammed under the hood. One major difference being that the microKorg comes with a built-in (detatchable) condenser mic making it a synch to vocode your way to robot central. Another cool feature, is the formant freeze. This samples a slice of the modulator signal - either form the mic or the line input and freezes the tonal characterstic so you can play with just that sound - quite original. For a more complete list of microKorg features see previous reports. Meanwhile, we took a couple of the demo tracks with us on the trusty Sonic DAT for your perusal:
  • Demo 2
  • Demo 4
