On our headlong dash through the halls at the NAMM show in January, we spotted a shiny box which heralded a new departure for audio interface specialists M-Audio - a Firewire interface. Firewire seems to be having a resurgence of interest at the moment, with some of the other big names at the show releasing firewire/mLan products (Yamaha's 01X, for example) and for good reason - as a protocol it's much faster, and better suited for audio data transmission than USB - so we took the opportunity to get a good look at the new M-Audio offering. Paul O'Brien was on hand to give us a quick tour...
