Developed in close cooperation with partner company Beatport, the Traktor Beatport Player is a versatile and easy-to-use audio player that can even be used to tear up a party thanks to its set of basic DJ functions. The Traktor Beatport Player is based on the award-winning TRAKTOR DJ STUDIO and features two decks with waveform displays, pitch faders and a crossfader. Powerful playlist features combined with a convenient music library and browser make it suitable for all kinds of listening habits. A wide range of compressed and uncompressed file formats is supported, including MP3, AAC, WMA, WAV, AIFF, and FLAC, as well as audio CDs. The Traktor Beatport Player can import iTunes playlists and collections, and even supports full-featured playback of Traktor mix files, which use sets of regular audio files to recreate full DJ performances recorded with TRAKTOR DJ STUDIO. "We strongly believe in Beatport as the most relevant and upfront platform for purchasing club music on the internet." NATIVE INSTRUMENTS CEO Daniel Haver says. "With the Traktor Beatport Player, we are making our Traktor technology available to Beatport customers, and by that perfectly complement the Beatport 2.0 experience. This is just the first step in our close partnership with Beatport, and DJs all around the world can look forward to many more exciting developments in the time to come." The Traktor Beatport Player will be made available in November 2004 together with the launch of Beatport 2.0. The second generation of the Beatport online music store will offer a host of new features created specifically to better serve online dance music shoppers, including improved navigation, increased user customization, and added support for video files, ring tones, and DJ mix files.
