The Elektron Machinedrum set a benchmark for the modern drum machine when it was released in 2001. The solid build, classy interface and unique parameter access meant it was capable of a great deal. The Elektron Machinedrum SPS-1 is generally referred to as the state of the art beat box and percussion synthesizer.
