Kenton Retrofit MIDI Kits
The new TR-808 MIDI retrokit

Designed to bring the advantages of MIDI communication to pre-MIDI synths or where the MIDI implementation was not up to much (Jupiter 6 - omni only anyone?), the Kenton kits are often the best way to incorporate MIDI into your ageing (sorry, vintage) equipment. The TR-808 retrokithas been redesigned to make it smaller, easier to fit, and incorporating a new feature. The new kit has all the functionality of the old kit which is: Bi-directional (MIDI In and Out) plus Thru socket Full Velocity control of sounds from MIDI In (or normal / accent mode can be selected if required) Sounds can be mapped to whichever MIDI notes you want MIDI Clock In and Out Any MIDI channel can be selected The new feature is: Auto clock detect. The clock switch fitted to earlier units to select internal or MIDI clock has been removed. The new kit will ignore internal clock if already playing from MIDI, or ignore MIDI clock if already playing from internal. The MIDI retrofit kits are user installable, although if you have ten thumbs and can’t wire a plug, you can always get your local shop to do it for you. Price is £ 190.00 (ex VAT), £ 223.25 (inc VAT)
