After a full 13 years in development, Peaceland Music have perfected the MusserRing for a new approach to playing slide guitar. The MusserRing fits in the middle of the finger between the first two knuckles allowing plenty of flexibility in the finger so that you can easily switch between standard fingering, chromatics, bending, pull-offs, hammer-ons and tapping, but still have the freedom to slide in, around, and between all of your favorite guitar licks - any time you want. The design allows you to use 3 or 4 MusserRings at a time so that you can play any interval you can reach, not just the ones that a standard slide bar or bottleneck can make. You can play nearly any interval you want, and even bend some notes while holding others still. Several interesting techniques have been identified by the makers:
  • Using 2 MusserRings you can slide in two directions at once - one slides up, one slides down. Hold down a note with one finger and slide on a different string using the MusserRing at the same time.
  • Using 2 or 3 MusserRings you can do Double- or Triple-slides. Slide once, then use the next finger in line to 'slide again,' doing the same slide over.
  • Slide-Skipping - slide up with the pinky MusserRing and then slide down with the mdidle-finger MusserRing. You can do large jumps and land on diffferent fingers which are closer to where you are going, when you use more than one MusserRing.
  • Sweep picking and rakes - end up on slide, or start with slide and finish sweeping back to your fingers.
