SNAMM05: Peavey HP Guitar Series Expands
Three New Models Celebrate 40 year Anniversary 01-Aug-05
HP SIGNATURE SELECT IN MAHOGANY
|
Peavey introduced its new HP Signature Select guitars, the latest evolution of the well-received HP Signature Series. HP guitars are named for Peavey's founder and sole owner, Hartley Peavey, and celebrate the company's 40 years of innovation in music.
HP Signature Select guitars are based on a specially selected African mahogany body/top combination with a sculpted neck joint for access to the upper frets, and feature a mahogany neck with dot inlays and a rosewood fretboard. Hardware includes a Tunomatic™ bridge and Peavey's patented Dual Compression™ tailpiece with string-through ferrules, which provide strong sustain and string presence; two HP Signature humbucking pickups; precision Schaller® tuning keys; two master volume controls; a single tone control; three-way pickup selector; and a variety of finish options.
Peavey had this to say about the new models..."HP guitars encompass everything I've learned during my many years of designing and making guitars. We pioneered a lot of technologies that are now industry standards, including shaping guitars with precise CNC router technology, and we build each HP guitar on that solid foundation, using the finest woods, hardware and pickups for brilliant tone as well as a distinctive, unmistakable appearance."
Also launched at Summer NAMM were two HP Special guitars, a continuation of the HP Signature Series
Augmenting the modern refinement of the HP Signature Series with rock guitar features, the new HP Special guitars include Floyd Rose®-licensed, double-locking tremolos, coil tap-equipped HP Signature humbuckers and an offset basswood body with a sculpted neck joint for access to the upper frets. HP Special guitars also include an oil-finished, asymmetrical birdseye maple neck with graphite reinforcement and precision Schaller® tuning keys; master volume and tone knobs; a three-way pickup selector; and transparent and solid finish options. Rosewood and ebony fretboard options are available in the Peavey Custom Shop.
