Digidesign continue to target the prosumer market with the release of the new Mbox 2. Following from their recent addition of ProTools M-Powered, Digidesign are enhancing their own range of audio interfaces with this new desktop studio module. The Mbox 2 is USB powered and comes with ProTools LE, taking over where the original and highly successful Mbox left off. Mbox 2™ is a next-generation USB-powered audio/MIDI production system that builds on the performance and simplicity of the original Mbox. Mbox 2 combines pristine sound and a wide range of connection options (including analog, digital, and MIDI) for professional performance in a compact package. Along with its flexible hardware interface, Mbox 2 includes the easy-to-use, award-winning Digidesign Pro Tools LE software, which offers many of the same features that top studios rely on to record, edit, mix, and master commercial albums and produce sound for blockbuster films. In addition, Mbox 2 comes with the Pro Tools Ignition Pack™ — an impressive collection of powerful plug-ins, creative applications, and additional tools to help you professionally produce and promote your music. Mbox 2 features MIDI in and out ports for easy integration of MIDI controllers, hardware synthesizers and samplers, and virtual instruments.
Multiple Inputs
Mbox 2 lets you to use two analog inputs and two channels of S/PDIF digital input at the same time to achieve four simultaneous channels of audio input.
