Well its mid January and we're back in Anaheim so it must be NAMM again. Each time I come to NAMM I'm surprised by the scale of the event. This is my fifth NAMM show and the sixth show covered by Sonic State. Each year we've tried to broaden and improve our coverage (last year we published 160 stories, 30 with video content) This year we hope to go way beyond that.

To try and help us cope, we've added an additional person to the Sonic State team ... Shorn. Shorn runs his own studio in Bath (Paranormal Studios) he brings a lot of knowledge, practical understanding and enthusiasm to our coverage. He has worked with Sonic State for the past few months and we hope for many more to come. Shorns unique video style will be come apparent over the next couple of weeks... watch this space.

Down the sides you'll see all of our ugly mugs except Fat Elvis who is at home keeping the Sonic Servers stoked with coal and writing many news stories (during those brief moment he can lift himself from his throne).

We arrived in NAMM yesterday (Wednesday) after eating at the excellent Vito's (and drinking his excellent wine). We all slept well last night.

An early start (I woke at 5am), registration and we're raring to go. Appointments with Line 6, M-Audio, Apple, Presonus, Korg, Waves, Harman, Open Labs,Roland, Yamaha, Microsoft, Digidesign to name a few.

The day ended with a few beers at a bash thrown by Cakewalk, Microsoft and Intel (well not quite - this is my last job of the day). Tomorrow looks even busier - TTFN
