Not sure it worked though... One thing’s for sure, the money NI spent on their KORE video teaser must mean they are really behind this one. We managed to snaffle the footage and talked to NI’s very own Brian Smith about the KORE system. All the dots are going to be joined at this years Musik Messe (29th March- 1st April) where NI will do the full showbiz launch of their new hard/soft platform. For those of you that need a recap:
First Universal SoundPlatform opens up new ways to work with software instruments, includes advanced next-generation hardware controller Berlin, January 20th 2006 – Native Instruments today disclosed KORE, the world’s first Universal Sound Platform. KORE will revolutionize how performers and producers work with software instruments and effects. Following a decade of evolution in music software, KORE opens up significant new possibilities for the operation of software instruments both in the studio and on stage. It also marks the first host system by Native Instruments.

Sophisticated layer and split configurations involving any combination of instruments and effects can be created and recalled easily, while a powerful Performance Manager allows for seamless switching between different scenes and sound sets on the fly – either manually, preprogrammed or remote-controlled.

KORE finally bridges the compatibility gap between different systems with the introduction of the KoreSound format. This revolutionary universal file format can include complex sound, routing, configuration and categorization data, laying the foundation for easy and reliable transfer even of complex sounds between any set-up and system, and between studio and stage.

KORE also marks a new step in hardware controller design and integration.
