We first saw the preview of the Emulator X2 software sampler at the NAMM show in January but in Frankfurt we were able to see it up and running.
The Emulator X2 has a bunch of cool features – here’s a few of them…
- SynthSwipe automated hardware sampling
- TwistaLoop non-destructive audio manipulator
- Morph Filter Designer to create custom filters
- Multi-Function Generator for advanced LFO/envelope/arpeggiator programming
- Advanced Transform Multiply convolution DSP tool
- Real-time control of multiple loop points
- REX2 and MP3 import
For a more detailed look at some of these features check out the ‘NAMM06: E-MU Reinvents The Software Sampler’ story
