IK Multimedia have announced the support of the Mac Intel Core Duo platform for all its products. IK has currently been testing products for use with the new processor architecture of the Mac Intel Core Duo system and it will start shipping them during the 2nd quarter of 2006, enabling IK users to combine the increased processing power of the new Intel based platform with IK's line of award-winning music production tools.
Enrico Iori, CEO and Founder of IK Multimedia told us, “We are excited about the Apple's Intel-based Macs. We recognize that a large number of computer-based musicians have always been with Mac and we're thrilled to develop products for this innovative platform to deliver better, faster and more powerful products for all users making music.�
Meanwhile at Apple, Vice President of Worldwide Developer Relations, Ron Okamoto had this to say, “The blazing speed of our new machines provides a significant performance boost to all Universal applications running natively. We’re thrilled that IK Multimedia will ship Universal versions of its award-winning products, to offer Mac users powerful audio creation and production tools.�
