We ran a story on DirectGuitar on 29th May when the library of dry guitar samples was only available for NI Kontakt 2 and Tascam Gigastudio – it is now available in SFZ format, the freeware sample player from rgc:audio.
Developed for live performances and studio DirectGuitar includes all the guitar pickup positions plus another jazz selector for covering the entire range of guitar sound and styles.
Pettinhouse tell us that it has been recorded taking care to capture the entire sustain and natural decay for unmatched realism and that, combined with an amp simulator, it allows users to create an infinite number of guitar sounds.
