Guitar Rig 2 Without The Hardware

Native Instruments announces Guitar Rig 2 Software Edition      10/10/06

Guitar Rig 2 Without The Hardware

Guitar Rig has traditionally come with the Rig Kontrol hardware controller that is of little use and an unneccessary expense to anyone who just uses Guitar Rig as a plug-in but now Native Instruments has announced Guitar Rig 2 Software Edition, a software-only version of its award-winning digital guitar studio.
Geared toward producers looking for a professional yet affordable guitar and bass recording solution, NI say that the Software Edition provides the complete arsenal of highly acclaimed amp emulations and effect modules that has won Guitar Rig more than 20 international press awards to date. Guitar Rig 2 Software Edition offers the full functionality of the software without any limitations, with only the Rig Kontrol pedal remaining exclusive to the standard Guitar Rig 2 package.

Nils Krueger, Product Manager Guitar Division at Native Instruments, "While guitarists love the functionality of the Rig Kontrol, Guitar Rig also proved to be very popular with producers who don't necessarily need a controller pedal in their studio environment. The Guitar Rig 2 Software Edition specifically accommodates this way of working in an even more attractive price range."
Guitar Rig 2 Software Edition is based on the upcoming 2.2 version of the Guitar Rig software, which will offer three additional components and will also include support for Intel-based Macintosh computers. The Guitar Rig 2.2 update will be made available later this month.
Pricing and Availability:
Guitar Rig 2 Software Edition will be available in November 2006 for a suggested retail price of $ 339 / 299 Euro from authorized dealers and in the NI Online Shop. More information:
