We can’t believe it’s that old but Apple’s iconic iPod was launched on 23rd October 2001 making it exactly 5 years old today.
The very first iPod stored 1,000 songs on its 5GB hard drive and cost $399… now we have the latest 80GB version, capable of holding 20,000 songs for $349. So happy birthday iPod and let’s see what the next 5 years brings… Check out a detailed iPod 5th anniverary story at CNET News:
