Following on from a series of beta releases, Outsim have now announced the release of SynthMaker 1.0, an audio programming tool that allows anyone to create their own VST plug-ins without having to write any code.
Jorge Costa, founder of Outsim told us, "SynthMaker is not your traditional modular synth, it's a complete graphical programming environment. This doesn't mean that it has to be complicated though, you can keep things simple by working with high-level modules but then drop down to the lowest level of detail when you need that control"
The software features an innovative user interface delivering a user experience that Outsim say is both productive and fun. All graphics are vector based and so can be zoomed to suit your own taste.
The sound engine employs one-sample-at-a-time processing throughout allowing you to create single sample feedback paths essential for any serious filter design. You also have the option of writing small sections of DSP code directly within the software with zero build time - all results are available instantly.
As well as exporting to VST you can also create standalone applications that work independently of any host software.
Pricing and Availability:
SynthMaker 1.0 is available today at a retail price of £125 GBP. The software can be purchased via the SynthMaker web site. More information:
